A ceremony was organized on the occasion of the signing of the agreement for the opening of a Credit Line between the Region of Fez-Meknes and the Fonds d'Equipement Communal on Friday, May 7, 2021, at the headquarters of the Regional Council in Fez, in the presence of the Wali of the Region of Fez-Meknes, the President of the Regional Council, the Governor, General Manager of the Fonds d'Equipement Communal, the members of the regional office and the Governors of the Prefectures and Provinces of the Region.

The global amount of the Credit Line amounts to 2,200,000,000.00 dirhams and will be used to finance the Region's contribution to the projects included within the framework of the State-Region Contract-Program and which aim mainly at improving the economic attractiveness of the territories, supporting the productive sectors, boosting employment and scientific research, reducing social deficits and territorial inequalities, in addition to enhancing the cultural field and tourist sites and preserving the natural resources.

This signing comes following the approval by the Regional Council of the recourse to the FEC’s loan through the opening of a Credit Line on October 7, 2019.

The ceremony was attended by the central Directors of the Fonds d'Equipement Communal, the General Manager of Services, the Director of the Regional Project Execution Agency and the Heads of the decentralized services at the level of the Region.
