On Monday March 11, 2024, the Fonds d’Equipement Communal and the Region of Draâ-Tafilalet signed a Financing Agreement for an amount of 1.7 billion dirhams with a view to contributing to the financing of a ambitious investment program to be carried out by 2027.
This Agreement defines the terms and conditions for granting and mobilizing by the FEC a Line of Credit for the benefit of the Region of Draâ-Tafilalet for the financing of priority projects of the Regional Development Program (PDR) of the Region of Draâ-Tafilalet 2022-2027 and the Program for the Reduction of Territorial and Social Disparities in Rural Areas (PRDTS) and which aim to improve the economic attractiveness of the Territorial areas of the Region, the opening up of populations in rural areas, the fight against water stress as well as the implementation of adaptation projects linked to climate change.
The realization of this line of credit consolidates the confidence of Territorial Communities, more particularly The Regions, in the FEC as a technical and financial partner of reference and allows both parties, in a spirit of responsibility and ambition, to confirm their commitment to promoting inclusive, sustainable and dynamic regional development.
