The Fonds d’Equipement Communal (FEC) received, on thursday August 22, 2024 at Rabat, a Delegation from Burkina Faso, led by United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLGA) and composed of representatives of several national institutions, including the General Directorate of Territorial Communities, the National Agency for Support to the Development of Communities, the Permanent Secretariat of the National Conference on Decentralization, the General Directorate of Territorial Development, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Burkina Faso, the Association of Regions of Burkina Faso, the Support Unit for Decentralization and Citizen Participation as well as the Regional Councils of several Regions. This meeting, which is part of South-South cooperation, was an opportunity to discuss the Moroccan experience in financing the local sector and the central role of the FEC, as a technical and financial partner of reference for Moroccan Territorial Communities, in the territorial development of the Kingdom.
